President's Message

Dear Esteemed Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

On behalf of the Executive Board of Harvard Model Congress Latin America, it is an honor to invite you to the 4th Session of Harvard Model Congress Latin America taking place August 16th – 19th, 2017.

For almost thirty years, Harvard Model Congress (HMC) has provided an incomparable educational experience to high school students around the globe. Our delegates are challenged to take the roles of the most important leaders of the world to recreate debates and discussions that occur both in the U.S. Congress and in international organizations. By doing so, students expand their own perspectives and points of view through an intellectual exchange of ideas. So far, our organization has run conferences in Boston, San Francisco, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and we are excited to bring the HMC experience back to Latin America in 2017.

For its fourth session, HMC will bring an exceptional experience for our attendees. The Executive Board and Harvard staffers for our conference have been working tirelessly to design the best simulation committees for our delegates. In addition to committees present at our HMC conferences across the world, we are thrilled to offer programs related to Latin America for the first time in HMC’s history. We are confident that our conference will foster the leadership development of our students and we are extremely happy to bring the prestige and experience of HMC to Brazil this year.

I invite you to navigate our website to learn more about our conference. On our site, you will find information on how to pre-register for HMC 2016, as well as specific information on the committees that our conference will feature. You can also find more about our host organization, accommodation, and travel arrangements to Brazil. Please do not hesitate to contact us at info@hmcla.org if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you in São Paulo this August!

Sincerely,

Andrew Wilcox

President
