ANDREW WILCOX – PRESIDENT
Andrew is a junior English Concentrator from Pennsylvania. He has been involved with Harvard Model Congress since his Freshman year. Outside of HMC, Andrew manages the university’s Arts and Literature magazine, leads maintenance crews, and plays on the Club Squash team. He enjoys reading, travel, photography, and bread. He looks forward to meeting the faculty and delegates in attendance at HMC Latin America 2017!
MADDY NAM – VICE PRESIDENT
Maddy is a rising senior in Pforzheimer House, concentrating in History and Literature. She is also pursing a secondary in Spanish, and spent last semester in Madrid in order to fully immerse herself in a Spanish-speaking country and to eat more tapas than she thought humanly possible. Outside of HMC, for which she's staffed twelve conferences, Maddy loves to read, write, listen to country music, and watch Game of Thrones. This will be Maddy's third HMCLA, and she is so excited to be back in São Paulo - she's sure 2017 will be the best conference yet!
MICHAEL GEISLER – DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS
Born in the great city of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michael spent most of his younger years exploring the wide open prairies of the American Midwest. From living in Iowa to Ohio, Michael has a deep affinity for the cornfields that shaped his youth. A junior at Harvard, Michael is concentrating in history with a secondary in economics. This will be Michael’s third Harvard Model Congress Latin America, and he is beyond excited to be back in São Paulo for another conference!
NICK PAGEL – BUSINESS MANAGER
Nick is a sophomore at the College, concentrating in Chemical and Physical Biology. He was born in America, but raised by the world, having spent his formative years in Japan attending this very conference. He’s spent more time in hotel beds than his own bed, and is at home surfing in Bali as he is trudging through the snow in Boston. He has a passion for politics that motivated him to travel thousands of miles to share his love of government with the incredible delegates that compose Harvard Model Congress Latin America!
JOCELYN HERNANDEZ – FACULTY LIASON
Jocelyn is a rising junior pursuing a joint concentration in Romance Languages & Literatures and Government. She hails from the great state of Texas, so she’ll affectionately refer to you guys as y’all. She is passionate about all-things Latin America and loves speaking Spanish as well as making an attempt at Portuguese. Growing up in multicultural cities like Guadalajara and San Antonio, she’s developed a deep fascination with international relations, business, and politics. Outside of Harvard Model Congress, Jocelyn is involved in HACIA Democracy, Women in Business, and the Institute of Politics. Her pastimes include traveling, reading, dancing, and taking siestas!
HARRISON SATCHER – TECH AND OPERATIONS
Harrison is a rising junior studying Psychology and Statistics, originally from southwest Florida. He became involved with model government programs as a freshman in high school and has enjoyed spending the last six years engaging with others as a student, peer, and mentor. His favorite part of HMC is having the opportunity to combine his passion for education and civics. On campus, he works for the Computational Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory and Widener Library. His interests include hiking, creative writing, and weightlifting.
